Normally a very quiet and reserved GM, Ron Lewis, has been all but invisible since the start of the BRHL regular season. In a recent interview on the SRC, Mr. Lewis stated that his approach to his management duties of the Montreal Franchaise. "No deals till midseason . . then we'll see."
All that has changed. There was a recent blowup in the habs dressing room. After a close loss to the Ilses, Coach Burns chewed out team veterans like Steve Yzerman and Scott Young for not keeping the club ontrack and supporting the defence. At an undisclosed club in on Rue St. Catherines it was reported that GM Lewis not only confirmed this but added, "We should be better than .500. Our fans deserve better play from some of our key players. It's time to cut some of these guys loose. As of right now, it will be the clubs goal to move Yzerman and Young, in fact we're giving Ozzy a night off - and if he doesn't step it up his first game back, then we'll put him on the next train out of town too!"
