Bruins' Payroll: $42,960,000
Senators' Payroll: $52,015,000
Bruins win series 4-1.
I know I was vocal about my disdain for the Cap increase mid-season. I feared that teams would exploit this and be able to stock up on expensive players to take a run at the title. I admit that I contemplated adding one or two pieces myself but, fortunately, there was a decided lack of trading activity at the deadline so I saved me from myself. There's still a lot of the playoffs remaining though. Anything can happen.
I'm sorry your acquisitions did not improve your team's results Jordan. 4 1-goal games shows how close this series really was. Well done.

Wait, wha? Oh, shoot, I've been looking at my bookmarked regular season index this past week. Well, good to see I won my series regardless.

... which sounds glib. I apologize. I'm surprised the series didn't go for another couple games - The Devils have a good squad!
