Since I just picked up Leino from Carolina, can I sign him or does he test the RFA waters (like Carolina requested)?

Well, since I may need some salary, I'll re-sign Ville Leino.

I think I misunderstood the qualifying offer system, etcetera, specifically in regards to David Legwand. Would it be possible to sign him at the capgeek level of 4,500,000 for one more year?
That's not what I posted earlier, so I completely understand if not. I was just confused as to the whole system. But if I render him just a qualifying offer, I'll lose him at free agency? Yes? No?

RFAs turned UFAs are NOT qualified players. Only RFAs are qualified. However, you CAN resign your players until I finish up all the teams offers.

Okay. Well...
Oh, what the heck - I'll resign David Legwand to a 2 year deal @ 4,500,000 per year. If that's okay. (thanks!)

I may have figured it out. LA Kings RFA Turned UFA Matt Hendricks- 2 years x 825,000 David Krejci- 5 years x 3,750,000 Derek Roy- 3 years x 4,000,000 Valtteri Filppula- 5 years x 3,000,000 Peter Regin-2 years x 1,000,000 Antti Miettinen- 1 year x 1,351,293 Mark Giordano- 5 years x 4,020,000 Aaron Rome- 2 years x 750,000 Leland Irving- 2 years x 600,000 (1) Miettinen can't be re-signed since he was going to be an UFA this year anyway (under the old system). (2) Hendricks doesn't apply here either since he was going to be an UFA under the old system as well. (3) Krejci doesn't need to be re-signed since he will still be a RFA (under the new system). The same goes for Leland Irving. (4) If you want, you can re-sign M-A Gragnani, Michael Zigomanis and, as I mentioned earlier, Wojtek Wolski.

Ok, I modified my post to the guys I can sign. Now how do I resign RFA's? Sorry I am getting confused with the old system and the new system and I think I am putting them together. I assume I post it here to resign RFA's. How do I know for how much and how long?

I assume I post it here to resign RFA's. How do I know for how much and how long? Yes, post them here...contract length is up to you...normally you'll resign them to a point that they'll be 27 or under with a year left so that you can sign them to 1 last deal as an RFA...between your RFAs and RFAsturnedUFAs, you can have 2 5-year contracts and 2 4-year contracts...everything else 3,2,1 years have no limit...the salary amount you use is the salary cap hit located on the player's page on www.capgeek.com for the 2011-12 season

RFA Signings: Wojtek Wolski 5 years x 600,000 David Krejci 5 years x 3,750,000 Marc-Andre Gragnani 4 years x 560,000 Each team is only permitted 2 5-year contracts and 2 4-year contracts this offseason amongst your RFAsturnedUFAs and RFAs...if you want, you can post all of your signings again so that they're all together and can be edited in one post if need be.
