Not having a first round pick for the first time in many seasons, the Sens sat back and watched as the drafted unfolded. Though rumoured to have several big names on the block, GM Hansford could find no takers.
"We were really happy with how the day unfolded. Brett Bulmer is a big kid with some skill we see possibly playing with us in a year or so. Tyler Bozak was acquired for a 3rd and 5th round pick and provides some great depth down the center with Crosby, Bergeron and Sutter. We feel his value was more than what we gave up so we jumped at the opportunity to acquire him."
The Sens have several picks tomorrow and look to add some depth in the minors, particularly defense and goal.
