Also most other Islanders... except Duchene, Yandle, McBain, a few other players I'd be very reluctant to part with. But most available.

I'd be surprised if there was a large market for Chara though.. guys could have had him for free already.. Nabokov was an exception cause the Devs wanted him back so bad.

I think a huge fine was paid when Nabby was traded back to the Devils. This was negotiated as part of the trade if I recall. brhlcommish.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rules&action=display&thread=5363Penalties for trading signed UFA'sPlayer (contract) | 30 Days | 60 Days | 90 Days | 120 Days | Trade Deadline | 4 million + | $5,000,000 | $4,000,000 | $3,000,000 | $2,000,000 | $1,000,000 | 3-3.99 million | $4,000,000 | $3,000,000 | $2,000,000 | $750,000 | 1.5-2.99 million | $3,000,000 | $2,000,000 | $500,000 | 800k-1.499 million | $2,000,000 | $250,000 | | | | Less than 799k | None |

Unless you can get the other party to pay your fine, the Islanders would be on the hook for $5 mill to the League.
