Same as Gratton but better defensively... Best offer of picks, prospects, players gets him. Could really help out a teams defense and PK. Deadline is noon Australian time on Sunday. Please post offers here. No private offers...

I am vague I remember there happening something that ruffled some feathers about an auction. What was that again and what was the result?

Just change the title of this thread to: "Public Trade: Accepting Best Offer For [Player X]". Then specify no private negotiations will be accepted. Maybe that will pacify those who are opposed to the term "Auction".

Somone posted a public auction. I had the best bid at the deadline. Then the GM holding the auction went and took an offer that wasn't posted in the auction.

To Vancouver: Rob Niedermayer & $500,000 To Ottawa: Anson Carter, Year 9 Carolina 2nd
Carter fills in the roster position you are going to be short as you won't have a 5th RW available and the $500,000 would cover the fine i would incure for trading Carter within 90 days of signing him as a F/A, That is unless you want to wait until day 91 for the trade to pass and therefor i would have no penalty to pay.
And with Carter he will be going to your euro list after this season anyways so you won't have his contract to worry about next year.
