Please explain. Personally I really like it. It's refreshing and doesn't reak of corporate stuff like the orca, and doesn't look so... plain jane as the stink/rink and is not as fugly as the skate or orange V.

I just don't understand the Pilot/Aviator aspect of the logo.

I just don't understand the Pilot/Aviator aspect of the logo. Me either. I say that they can do better.

I think it looks good, but I'm not sure how it relates to Vancouver or B.C. in general

Either way this isn't the new Canucks jersey, I know someone that works in a sports shop (I got the first Luongo jersey made public through him before they even hit Authentix) and it sounds like it is the Vintage colours on a slightly modified orca symbol which last I heard was going to be some sort of silver on silver colour scheme although they might have changed their minds so I'm not sure if that has changed or not, I'll have to hunt my guy down and ask him.

"Humanot" A WWII Aviator to me is NOT "Johnny Canuck". It has nothing to do with Vancouver. It has no connection to the Pre-NHL Canucks logo: www.canuckscentral.com/hbeforethenhl.htmlHere he is on Luongo's mask: Like I said, the corporate logo designers can (and probably will) do way better than some fan-based design.

it looks cool, but shouldn't the Canucks Logo just be Luongo?

If they want it to represent Vancouver somehow, just have Johnny Canuck with a big fat joint in his mouth.

These: Have absolutely zero to do with hockey or Vancouver or playing hockey in Vancouver. Again, a WWII motif does not inspire me to buy a hockey jersey. That has no connection to "Johnny Canuck" whatsoever IMO. That's just an artist's rendition of any old hockey player.

I think my point was that your "Johnny Canuck" is a modern era interpration of the "first" Johnny Canuck the lumberjack (zero relation to hockey) who was created akin to Uncle Sam... My Johnny Canuck is the revision by the artist in the 40s with Johnny Canuck being a WWI and WWII hero and our troops being referred to as Canucks on the front. Niether Johnny Canuck the lumberjack nor Johnny Canuck the aviator/WW hero have much if anything to do with hockey.... and the same can be said for a duck, shark, panther, bluenote, blackhawk, mapleleaf, or hurricane. The aviator image and it's relation to Johnny Canuck (hence "Vancouver Canucks") have more in common than the killer whale or the spaghetti-downward skate and for that matter the stick and rink looking like an ill gotten letter 'C' which from even the closest distance appears as a big white rectangle on the torso of the Canucks which remind me of something even less hockey related:

Bryce beat me to the punch, I was trying to find a picture of them not winning. Bryce was better this time, I'll give him that...

Whether they stick with a war hero (who will no doubt offend the Bohemian peaceniks down on Commercial Drive or the old war vets down at the German Cultural Centre) or a lumberjack as the Johnny Canuck theme, I think they can just plain do better. That offering you presented is BORING. What's with the holographic goggles too? They look like novelty sunglasses:

I don't think it's boring at all. I like the vintage appearance. I'd rather have something boring than something as LOUD and UGLY as the Thrashers
