Given Kevin Bieksa's emergence as a top defenceman in Vancouver, how should he be rated (overall) for next season. Note Bieksa is not a player on my team however he is just doing phenomenal in Vancouver this year:
53gp 8g 22a 30pts -5 82pim 137shots [Projected: 82gp 12g 34a 46pts 126pim 211shots]
Averaging over 23:00 minutes total ice time [OVER 30:00 minutes tonight against Edmonton in a clutch divisional game] Averaging 26:56 per game since Christmas
Since November 23rd, Bieksa has not placed less than 20 minutes a game, in that time he has: 5g 17a 22pts -5 52pim 3ppg 90shots 7.3sh% 28.5shifts per game 25:39:39 average ice time per game.
In total he has averaged: 3:40 average SH 3:45 average PP
And has: 47 blocked shots - .89 per game [Projected 72] 72 hits - 1.35 per game [Projected 111]
He's on the #1 PP unit and #1 PK unit. He has a mean streak and is willing to drop the gloves.
And Brian Burke signed the guy because he punched out Fedor Fedorov for being an idiot.
That said, I'd think 76-77ov considering how his DF, IT, ST, PA, PC, and SC will turn out. Maybe even 78ov.
Wish I held on to him, I dealt him to Detroit (with Bourdon/Samsonov) in my deal for Elias/Boynton/Semin. If you ever want to deal him back to me I'm all ears.

well considering how Andrei Markov is still only a 74 ov I dont see Bieska gettig near a 77ov. Kaberle is a 77. I said 73.

Well, you are likely right and perhaps I just have rose coloured glasses and it's a good thing we have a lot of statistical based ratings.
Perhaps 74ov considering his EN will be good. I don't think his IT will be overly high as he is not hitting everything in sight. So yeah, mayne not 77 but given his ice time at all situations and on pace for over 40 pts... I think 74 ov is in the cards.
Kaberle is handicapped due to being a featherweight non physical defencemem (i'd imagine).

Bieksa's IT will be OK though because of his fighting majors. I'd guess probably a 75-76ov. Not that OV means anything.

Note Bieksa is not a player on my team however he is just doing phenomenal in Vancouver this year: That hasn't stopped you from continually asking about him.... Personally, he should be 80+ or over.... why? just to give my team some sort of a break after the pitiful season i'm having....

I got Elias, and Semin in the deal that netted you Bieksa so I am not going to cry. But yeah, I'd rather have Bieksa than Exelby... LOL. However did anyone see Exelby the other night against the Capitals? THREE! THREE!! Caps players tried to hit him in one sequence and all THREE went down to the ice.
