I like this move a lot. A team must protect its asset. It will be interesting to see if Brashear lines up with Ovechkin or if he just makes 3rd line appearances. Really good players (the great ones) don't need two talented line mates to rely on, one will suffice.
I hope that Pittsburgh takes note and makes some steps to get Crosby some protection. There is less goonery in the league now, but make no mistake it's still very much a high impact sport, with lots of emotion where players will take every advantage and opportunity they can to win - especially if they can get away with it. The Pens need to get someone in who can watch Sidney's back and keep him from having to take retaliation/self-defense penalties.

Pittsburgh should sign Sean Avery to play with Crosby. LOL

Actually, I kinda like that move. (Avery with Crosby) Avery would provide protection and ability. Sure he isn't a superstar player, but he is still a decently skilled player. (I just don't know if he'll ever find another job in the NHL) LOL

The Penguins do have Andre Roy on their roster, and I'm sure they wouldn't mind Armstrong jumping into a more physical role. I think crosby will be fine, better than last season.
