unfortunately St. Louis GM Larry Pleau was the ass that he usually is, and picked the #1 guy. However, the Penguins got my #2 choice. The Staal bloodline is attractive (why isn't their father a stud like some horses, and sell his 'canuck fans' to lonely women looking for NHL potential) and Staal is a good player in his own right. 6'3" 200lbs already is a great weight for a 18 year old. Probably 1-3 years before he's in the pros, but he'll be worth the wait.
didn't like the O'Sullivan for Demitra Trade. I like both players, but I just think that O'Sullivan would fit best in the Wild's system. It sounds like it was something more personal than business, but who knows.
I think the Flames also got another good deal today. Tanguay is great offense for ateam in dire need of it. Leopold struggled in CGY this year, maybe he'll live up to his potential in COL.
Looks like the leafs are set, and now have their goalie of the future.
also, on an unrelated note. The talk of that new sim, and Clint's response about Eastside Hockey Manager being the best. I played around with it for about 2 hours last night, again. And I have to agree. That sim is pretty much the meaning of 'depth'. But at the same time, the depth can be too much. There's so much to do, you'll end up wondering what you HAVE to do to run a successful franchise. If you can find a trial version check it out.
