For bragging rights and pride, please pick the club and the number of games. We'll go one round at at a time. Here's the format: Round one: 5 points for the correct team, 5 points for the correct number of games Round two: 10 points for correct team, 10 points for correct nog Semis: 15 a piece Final: 20 a piece So there is a total of 80 points up for grabs in round one, 80 points available in round two, 60 points in round three and 40 points in the final. Picks are due prior to the start of the first game of a round and I'll post running scores at the end of each round. HOWEVER, since games start tonight - just this once you can place picks prior to the start of game 2 of the first round series, ie by 1:00 pm EST on Sunday. (All other picks will be due prior to the start of the subsequent round.) The person with the most points is the BRHL's hockey guru and gets the coveted two motorcycles on a wooden dumbell trophy. Good luck!

Senators over Tampa in 4 Tampa isn't conistant enough. Getting off on the wrong foot will hurt them against the top offense in the league.
Montreal over Carolina in 6 The worst defense of the playoff teams will be exposed, Habs will ride their hot streak through the next series.
New Jersey over New York in 7 This series boils down to Gionta/Brodeur vs. Jagr/Lundqvist. Jagr is the perennial playoff performer. Probably the best playoff hockey player of all time. Lundqvist I don't think will choke, he's been a big time goalie before. But I can't pick against Brodeur, it's against my religion.
Buffalo over Philadelphia in 5 I HATE PHILADELPHIA, I would pick them to lose in 4. but I think they'll get a lucky one. Philly could win, but picking them is also against my religion.
Edmonton over Detroit in 6 Upset of the playoffs. Detroit is playing extremely well, Edmonton farted it's way into the post-season, barely making it in (Thanks refs). But staying with the trend; I can't go against my religion and I can't pick against my 2nd team in the NHL, the Oilers. Roloson can steal a game or two, and I think he will.
Dallas over Colorado in 5 Dallas is strong, Turco is strong, they are playing well, I think the Stars could go all the way, they have almost everything going for them.
Calgary over Anaheim in 7 Potentially the best series in the first round, I expect this series to be an old-fashioned showdown between Giguere and Kippersoff. I'll give the edge to Kipper, by a game.
San Jose over Nashville in 5 The loss of Vokoun will hurt, big time. I'm actually losing a $20 bet that I made at the begining of the season that the pred would make it to the Conference Finals, but without Vokoun I DOUBT it will happen. San Jose is on fire, their offense is the 2nd dangerous behind Ottawa's imo.

A little late with the picks Ricky! It's easier to pick Mtl and Col after their first game wins, but you picked Phi and SJ as well, so it evens out!

as long as it's before 1:00 pm today Eastern. However, in the event in a tie we'll probably make entrance time the deciding factor.
