Roloson was dealt Wednesday to the Edmonton Oilers for a first-round draft pick this summer and future considerations.
Great move by the Oilers if you ask me.
Colorado and Montreal swapped goalies Wednesday with Jose Theodore heading to the Avalanche in exchange for David Aebischer.
Does Jose turn it all around and follows Roy's footsteps?

I think the Avs got hosed here, Won't be able to keep under the cap with needing to re-sign a bunch of players while taking on Theo's contract.

I dunno, the Colorado deal is either gonna be a home run or a strike out. If he turns it around and regains his form they will have one of the 3 best goalies in the league, if he cant they have an overpaid goalie taking up valuable cap space and giving them subpar goaltending. Really this is a deal that you have to reserve judgement on. Abeischer IMO will at best become an average starter who does not have near the skill set of Theo, the gamble is if he can get his head straightened out again. Really how many Hart winning goalies are playing today, and of them how many are under 30, let alone 39.

one thing though I guess I will critisize the Aves on is why make this deal now? would it have not gone down at any other point? Was it a take it or leave it? Do they have something in the works for Belfour or CuJo? Seriously is Budaj gonna carry them down the stretch and in to the playoffs? not bloodly likely. Hey maybe the Oilers can actually pawn off a goalie on them, finally a team in a worse goaltending situation than we had been in over the past 4 months.
Conklin for a 7th, or Morrisson off of waivers if they cant get CuJo or Belfour.
