Not the BRHL tourny, but the real one.
GOLD - Czech Republic SILVER - Canada Bronze - USA 4th - Russia 5th - Sweden 6th - Finland 8th - Slovakia (if they get a good goalie relatively soon, they'd have a great shot)

Czech Russia Sweden USA Canada
Call Rick Tochet, it's a lock I have not been keeping track of who's playing and who's not playing, so I really have no clue about the rosters. All i know it that Canada will not medal, not with them having to deal with Gretzky's little problem. Plus, I'd bet (no pun intended) that at least 2 members of team canada are involved on the wrong end of the investigation.

well Roenick is supposedly involved so it does not appear that nationality has anything do with it. And to me, if I were a betting man, I would bet money on this having to do with Palffy suddenly retiring due to an injury which caused him to be over a pt/game on Pittsburgh, PITTSBURGH.
Anywhoo
1. Canada (wont be a distraction, these are pros with a lot of solid leadership on the team and around them - Having a distraction is just what others are hoping for) 2. Czechs 3. Sweden (last chance as it will be a long time before a Alfredsson, Sundin, Naslund, Forseberg, Lidstrom grouping comes along again) 4. Russia 5. USA 6. Finland (would have been 5th if a goalie would actually play for them, 4th if it was Kipper) 7. Slovakia 8. Germany

LOL, does it matter if a team finishes 5th or 6th? It still means the team lost in the quarterfinals (since there is no positioning games at the olympics)

so what? for the purposes of this conversation it is applicable as we are just essentially picking what teams we think are the best in order we see them as. I could sit down and analyse the schedule and try to figure out who is gonna finnish in what place in each pool and then who it means they will be playing in the elimination games and thus who will finnish where but whats the point? one wrong pick or surprise and the whole thing is thrown out of whack, so we just pick the easy way......which teams we think are the best an in what order.
I dont see your picks up there.
