I think it's fair and appropriate. A three year deal is responsible. I don't know why they drafted a goalie though, since it looks like the intention was to lock Theodore in for a while.
Based on this deal - it looks like Roberto L got the shaft.

Luongo had the opportunity to sign a solid long term deal and he turned it down. As I said before, I think he wants out of South Florida.

True enough Cliff . . I think the Theodore deal reaffirms that arbitrator perhaps underestimated the market value of goaltender of Luongo abilities.
