I don't cheer for Montreal in the real world. That's an understatement (just ask Mike).
However, I think this is the first time in a long time that Montreal has had the guts to pull off this kind of "short term" move for a playoff run. Granted they did give up a heck of a lot, but it's good to see that the organization wants to make a serious run (maybe not all the way), but at least invest some resources in making it past round one.

Kovalev is a player you want in the playoffs, he becomes more than your typical Euro in that situation. He becomes a complete player; he's responsible at both ends, will make a big hit(Zhitnik in the 2000 pens/sabres series) and can flat out score. Put him on a line with Koivu and look out. but he should return to where he belongs, Pittsburgh
