After talking around and running it by people it has a mostly positive feedback. read on.
BRHL Minor Leagues:
16 team league, top 4 in each conference make playoffs, 50 or so game schedule.
1) No player can play in the BRHL and in the BRHL Minor Leagues at the same time.
2) If a player gets called up to his BRHL team he will be listed as suspended in the Minors, as soon as he returns, he is unsuspended.
3) When a player who has been in the BRHL, is put down to the minors for the first time, he is assigned to that teams direct affiliate.
4) A minor league team is composed of 2 BRHL teams minor league players , and their Euro's. Draft picks can be created to round out a roster, but they will not be part of the BRHL team unless they are created by the pro team. 2 BRHL teams will run their farm team independantly to create the 16 team league.
5) Each Minor team GM can trade anyone to anyone, but regardless of what team a player is on, if his pro team calls him up, he will be suspended in the minors. IF A PLAYER IS DEALT IN MINOR LEAGUES HIS BRHL TEAM WILL NOT CHANGE!!!
6) Minor league teams will feature all of a teams farm players and Euros. If more players are needed to stock the roster propsects will be created for the minors only with NO effect on the BRHL roster.
7) Each BRHL GM should come to an agreement with their minor league partner, they can run it or they can find someone else to. Any GMs solely running a minor league team will be looked at for BRHL replacements when the time comes.
8) Each team must have at least 3 goalies, 8 defensemen, and 14 forwards.
9) A maximum of 30 players can be on the minor league team at one time.
10) Games will be simmed with a separate sim than BRHL, its like its own individual league.
11) The prospects drafted by the BRHL teams will become the minor league teams property when they are signed by their BRHL team, OR if a player is needed to meet requirements.
[glow=red,2,300]IF A COMBINED TEAM HAS OVER 30 PLAYERS THEY WILL HAVE TO "CUT" THEIR EXCESS AMOUNT TO GET IT TO 30, ALL EXCESS PLAYERS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO TEAMS WITH LOWER AMOUNTS OF PLAYERS.[/glow]
If your worried about the impact this will have on your BRHL team the extent of it is this; when you send in lines you will need to include in your email callups and send downs, that's it. If you don't want to run your farm team, combine with someone who does. OR as I plan to do is try and find someone to run the team for you (outside of BRHL). That is what I prefer cause I could evaluate GMs based on how they trade, how active they are etc.... The minors will be affected greatly by the BRHL, because of call-ups and drafts, but your BRHL team won't be affected other than when you send in lines. This is something designed to give more BRHL to those who need it, and to help me find replacement GMs when needed.
To sum up:
If you like this idea, then great try and hook up with a team that has enough euros/farm players to make get your team over the 20 man roster at least.
If you think this is stupid:
Find someone who likes it, combine with them and let them run it, what happens there has NO effect on your BRHL team, other than saying your callups and demotions when you send in lines.
POST BELOW WHEN YOU HAVE AGREED TO JOIN A TEAM WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!! POST A TEAM NAME AS WELL!!!! AND POST WHO IS RUNNING IT!!!!
