(AP)Pittsburgh, PA ESPN has learned that Pittsburgh GM George Bachul has appealed for suspension of Aaron Gavey for a deliberate attempt to injure goaltender Roman Cechmanek, in last nights game. ESPN got their hands on a copy of the letter from GM Bachul to BRHL officials. "I would like to appeal for a suspension to Aaron Gavey of the Minnesota Wild. He was given a 2 minute penalty for elbowing Roman Cechmanek and subsequent Game Misconduct, obviously for deliberate attempt to injure. I am appalled that injuring goalies still happens, but this has to be stopped. Cechmanek is injured with a facial cut from the elbow knocking his mask into his face. I am applying for a 5-7 game suspension for Aaron Gavey. www.geocities.com/brhl21/BRHL327.htmlThank you. George Bachul Pittsburgh Penguins." More news to follow.
