I've seen people refer to 'BPAs' in the draft thread. What is this based on? Skill level in the sim? Real life draft order? Something else?
And as a followup, where do I find this list?
Thanks.

BPA = Best Player Available The list is the 2011 NHL Entry Draft www.nhl.com/ice/draftsearch.htm?year=2011&round=1We are a year behind the NHL. It's up to us to select a player from this list or any other player from previous drafts who is currently not attached to a BRHL Team. These players could be over aged players who signed UFA contracts as well. Unfortunately, there is no live list of BPAs. I already asked.

What is the availability of players originally passed over in their draft year that were selected in a later draft? I need an answer ASAP from anyone as I am again on the clock. Regards Rich

As long as they are not currently property of a BRHL team (on their prospects list, their active roster, or one their Euro list), they can be selected in the draft. Watch for spelling errors like Alex vs Alexandre or Evgeny vs Yvgeny.

Also they can't have been drafted in the next years NHL draft. (Pearson, Gusev)

Aye, that last rule is rather crucial.

I have another question...looking at the rules I found this rule in the draft section:
2)Players eligible in the draft class include all players drafted in that class and any other player in the world who was not 21 or older at the time of the draft or drafted in the next draft class
And this rule in the UFA section:
12) All players who played at least 10 NHL or AHL games in prior season, and are 25 and older in the sim, will be able to be bid on as UFA’s when the period is open.
My question is then, what happens to unaffiliated players between the ages of 21 and 25? (to be clear, players whose rights do not belong to anyone)
