If you have any questions, please ask them here. Keep all talk off of the actual signings page.

So, if I want to sign every player listed on my team's tab on the spreadsheet, I just post their new contracts in the other thread? We don't have to negotiate anything with an agent?

No more negotiating with RFAs. It's easier this way for everyone.

I'm assuming these contracts come in to effect next season?
Also, what do we use for a salary for our lesser known RFA's, where we can't find a salary/cap hit for the 2011-2012 season?

Yes next year
if players don't have a 2011-2012 salary list it as both the Canucks and I have already done

How exactly are ages being calculated? STHS V2 allows the input of real birth dates I believe. Are we still using a fixed date to calculate our ages?

Like I said above, ages will ONLY be changed in the offseason. All players will age on the first of September.

You also said, "Check the Index ages with the excel sheet that you received to correctly apply the age you're signing the player at."
So, I interpret that as it's up to us GMs to determine the correct age for all our players we are assigning new RFA contracts/extensions to. A few of my players were missed (i.e. they weren't on the spreadsheet) so I just wanted to be clear on how I calculate their ages.
Troy Brouwer for example was born Aug 17 1985.
I use September 1 2012 as the date to calculate from?
In other words, for RFA/UFA purposes, Brouwer's new age will be 27?
Is the above based on the current roster pages only? Again, in Brouwer's case, he's 26 on my current roster page. That should make him a true RFA correct?

The correct ages are on the index page. The league correction was done after I sent the Excel sheet out. It's the GMs responsibility to double check their ages with their new league age in the index.

OK. Thanks. The Index Page ages are what I will use.

"Teams this season are limited to 2 5-year contracts and 2 4-year contracts. Next season and beyond, you will only be allowed 1 5-year and 2 4-year. With the new UFA age, each team can recieve the extra 5-year contract this season."
Are these rules for our RFA contracts only, or also for when, in the offseason, we decide to submit contracts to unsigned RFAs from other teams?

Including RFA signings and The players in the excel file, you only get 2 5-year and 2 4-year contracts this offseason. Basically you get an additional 5-year contract because of the RFA age change happening.
These signings have nothing to do with FA signings in the offseason. It's just your players.

I had a few questions in my post in the other thread - I'd appreciate a reply. Just a bit confused.

To answer Ricky's question in the signings thread, yes, Getzlaf and Perry will still be RFA's after next season.

If I have 4 existing players who were signed to 5 year deals LAST SEASON during UFA auctions, will I need to re-negotiate new deals for them this season to get under the 4- and 5- year deal limit? All are minor leaguers so it's no big deal to me either way. Also, for AHLers without NHL Contracts (Zack Fitzgerald), can I just offer a minimum amount to retain his services?

4 and 5 year offers are for only this years signings
As for players without contracts, we'll deal with that later

If some of our RFA players are now under new (cheaper) contracts in the NHL due to free agency and whatnot, can we change what we're offering them?

Sorry, posted this in the wrong thread.
So, am I correct when I say that 16 teams have done this? Or, have I miscounted? Regardless, it's roughly half of the league that's done this. Where's the other half? Will we have to find approximately 10 new GM's in order to go on?

I'd like to send in my signings but I don't have a clue what to do. I've been searching the portal and the message board for a set of rules but haven't found anything. Do we use capgeek for the caphit? If so then some other teams are signing FAs for much less than the capgeek number. Any help would be appreciated.

Since we've had a few new GM's join in the last couple of days, will they have the chance to set up their RFA's and RFA's-turned-UFA?
