-The league salary cap is currently set at $43,000,000. Please stay under this ceiling AT ALL TIMES. If a GM makes a trade that puts his team in violation of this limit the GM must work his roster through more trades, line juggling, waivers, or buyouts to get back under the ceiling by that teams next game
-Punishment for the violation of the salary cap will be the suspension of the highest paid player of that team for the remainder of the season as well as that particular player becoming an immediate Unrestricted Free Agent, available to the remaining 29 teams to the highest bidder who is still in mathematically in the playoff race. Bidding to follow our UFA rules regarding signing bonuses and so on.
-Exactly one week prior to the trade deadline the salary cap goes up to $44,000,000. During the post-season the salary cap is removed altogether.
-All teams must be in the green at the end of the season. Failure to sustain a financially viable franchise will likely see the termination of that GM. DO NOT RELY ON PLAYOFF REVENUE TO SAVE YOU! There is no guarantee for any team to make the playoffs until that team 'clinches'. Furthermore there is no guarantee as to how far a team will go in the post season.
-The league will sponsor a team that has gone bankrupt at seasons end once the GM has been terminated with $8,000,000. This amount is not significant enough to realistically make any attempt at mid to high level free agents and is merely set such that a new GM can make fresh with the a new direction.
-It is advised to all teams to seek out ways to add cash to their bank accounts during season. The easiest way is to trade with a richer team and include with the deal some cash. A second way to earn BRHL money is to write "quality" front page articles.
