It seems we had like 10 "commishers" in this thread. Are we sure Isles lead this

All right...so this thread is finished? NYI sign Wallin @ 1,850,000 / 2 + 1,800,000 SB ? ...and my trading penalty is waived, Ken? Yes but only to Phoenix. ;-)

ok I have no problems with how this was resolved. NYI we can discuss how to close out this issue.
I do understand that this whole process is a new one for the league but I really think that we should do something to help issues like this in the future. If this rule is in fact what we are going to use it should be stated in a league wide email or posted clearly as instructions in the message board for free agency. I still have not been told were I am suppose to find this rule written out from an League post or league email. I know the rules page is not always updated as frequently as we like it but we really do need to make the rules clear and available to everyone, either by email from the league office or entered in a post from the commish.

Nashville Predators Administrator Re: UFA - Friday « Reply #24 on Aug 7, 2008, 5:47am » And yes once a post has shown to be "editted" the bid is nullified. Make sure you post what you want to post.

Next year will be better. Its understandable that there would be some kinks the first year you try something.
I would also suggest having a "Free Agent Discussion" thread so that all talk could be in one place and the bid threads will be uncluttered.

I would say to have a free agent discussion right after FA and then say what did and didnt work and what rules need to be added. If we wait until next July then we will not remember as well. That will be a forum for bringing ideas forward and compiling everything that needs to be added to the official rules.
