I was married to a smoker for 8 years. Now that I am free, I will never date one again. EVER.
Unless she has really nice breasts.

I don't really smoke, like Bryce I enjoy a good cigar from time to time. The wife just started smoking again after a year of not smoking, really pisses me off, no one likes kissing an ash tray!

April used to smoke off and on when we first met - usually at get togethers with friends. I refused to kiss her and she'd try to cover it up. She quit pretty quickly once we got more serious

The wife quit after our wedding, but I guess the stress of being married to me for a year drove her back to smoking.

My wife has never smoked. I never really smoked, had some cigarettes at parties a few times when I was younger while drinking, tried it at school a few times at age 13-14. Never bought a pack, never had more than one at a time. Probably had less than 2 packs total in my life, havent had a cigarette in 9 years.
Have the occassional cigar, but only at parties (about 15-20 total in my life and Im 28).
The think I smoked the most is probably weed, but even that would just barely beat out the cigarettes for quantity and have only done it once since I was 20, which was about 4-5 years ago now.
Meh, my habits are my Friday night 6-pack and thats pretty much it. Rarely gamble, only drink more than a sixer about 2-3 times/year, no caffeine, never tried hard drugs.
I used to date a lot of girls who smoked....seemed that was what I would meet. Glad my wife doesnt although by that point I had already said I wouldnt date a smoker. Too gross, didnt want to kiss them, expensive.

I smoked pretty much a pack and a half a day for 25 years, the strongest cigs. I could find. Had my first Heart Attack in October 2001, and never had a cigarette since that day . Cigs had nothing to do with my Heart Attack as my family is blessed with heart problems. Cholesterol is our problem. I lost my Dad at 57 for the same reason in 1999. I have since had a second heart attack in 2006, both minor though. Smoking would have killed me though, if I had not quit. My son who is 18 helped me to quit back then, now he smokes ! :-( . I am so upset at him. I will definately send this to him !

My best friend - age 29 - has a VERY BAD cholesterol problem. The problem is they - his wife and himself - don't know how to shop and constantly buy "bad" or "junk" foods that are not always apparent junk to the average consumer who doesn't watch what they eat. Drink Sunny D. Eat LOTS of cheese (Cheddar and marble), white bread, processed deli meat, regular ground beef, bacon,.... and when he goes to McDonalds or anywhere he gets the worst stuff.
He gets the double whoppers with extra cheese... he puts extra cheese on everything b/c it's been imbedded in his head that cheese = dairy = good. The then drink tall glasses of skim milk... AFTER dinner. I keep telling him cheese is good in moderation and NOT cheddar and milk should be drinken before the meal as it fills you up and you eat less.
It's really pissing me off.
He's 6'4" 260lbs.

haha.. i love cheese too . honestly.. the best solution to these problems is just living an active lifestyle... playing sports is the best form of exercise as you have fun while doing it. im not the best eater... i dont cheap out when i eat.. i eat to enjoy and i sit down planning on eating until i can't walk anymore . i workout 3-4 times a week and play hockey once a week. exercise is the best diet out there!

Everyone is different and reacts differently to diets. What works for one person, might not work for the other.
Also, exercising likely helps physical appearance (improving muscle mass and strength, while also decreasing fat percentage). But it's no guarantee that it is doing the same for your insides as far as preservation of organs.

Honestly I "hate" cheese. I eat Pizza, KD, grilled cheese (with kraft single slice), and in a BLUE BLUE moon cheese cake.
But as for cheese and crackers... no thanks. On my sandwich... bleh.... on my burger... bleh.... on a hotdog .. .barf...

Ken, the world of cheese extends far beyond what is on the Safeway shelf...experience the world of a Basque Blue or a Roquefort, stop buying your Parmesan from a can and try grating your own authentic Reggiano and see how much more you enjoy it. If you've never tried a Savoie Compte or an Epenzaller and have only had slices of swiss cheese from a vacuum pack I think you are really missing out. Take a trip to a corner delicatessen and explore. Cheese is awesome, and if you taste the good stuff, a little goes a long way and in no way will threaten your cholesterol-- its the processed stuff that is dangerous. You rarely hear about Frenchmen dying of heart attack due to eating too much cheese...smoking...well that's another story

Cheese is gross.... plain and simple. It's the texture and the aroma that disgusts me. I was watching Jamie Oliver's cooking show and he was putting cheese on a French Onion Soup baking it than loading it with more cheese when it came out. BLAH! BARF! And he was using that Reggiano and shredding it... Speaking of J.O. he sure loves to drizzle olive oil on EVERYTHING.

Mike's right, foreign cheese is where it's at. For that sake, aside from a few choice plates, anything overseas is 10x better and better for you.

I am actually with Ken on this one. I will have Kraft singles on my sandwiches, or on crackers but again it is only Kraft singles which generally doesnt resemble real cheese. I can also eat it on cooked things like pizza or other things but only if it is a mild cheese and it there is not a tone of it (I can eat Mozzarella or swiss raw but that is about it an dbecause they are very mild, and a triple cheese pizza --> barf). I can have it on my burger but not say a blue cheese burger or when they put those disgusting huge slabs of chedder on it.
For me, it is not just cheese though, it is anything with a strong smell. I will eat something that sounds gross, I will eat something that looks gross, I am willing to try food and have. I often enjoy things that are a little out of the ordinary.........but I do not eat things that stink. Our sense of smell and taste are very closely related so it makes sense that things I dont like the smell of I will also not like the taste of. This has held true the odd time that I try something that stinks. I therefore do not eat cheese (strong) fish, Oregeno, Caeser Salad, or plain milk.

I just started to eat Caeser salad like 5 years ago. Before that wouldn't touch the stuff. The though of garlicy lettuce with mayo was not very appealing though I like it now- but only home made variety not store bought.
Agree on fish too. Only seafood I ever consume: Halibut and Calamari.
I absolutely detest curry.
My landlord and her roommate above me have been cooking with garlic late at night - 11pm - and it stinks up the entire basement suite. There should be a rule of no cooking aromatic or pungent foods late at night when others are trying to sleep.

I am a smoker, started when I was 18. Hard to believe I've been smoking for 11 years now. Right in and around a pack a day.
I also smoke weed regularly...favorite past time is EA's NHL games and a fat dube.
As for the guy that said someone was fat at 6'4" and 260, at my heaviest I was exactly that, 6'4" and 260. I could eat two double quarter pounder meals with drinks easily and be looking for dessert after. I had some bad back pain and knee issues, my doctor told me to take up basketball. He said it's the best for helping prevent back pain. I went from 260 down to 160 over a summer and had all my back pain go away...the knee is a different monster that just won't ever be 100%.
