I have Norton Internet Security on my computer and just renewed my subscription today.
I had AVG on my old computer but am not 100% convinced it has the necessary support to deal with large or truly malicious viri, trojans, and worms.
What app do you use and why?

I do not use any because I know how to avoid viruses and such.
Seriously though, if you use Shaw for your ISP, they provide a free anti-virus called Shaw Secure. I know i know.. its from an ISP so it must be crap but its a rebranded version of F-Secure anti-virus which is a very highly rated company from Europe.
If you're computer can run it, it also has a spam control portion.

I use Bullguard.
Of the ones I've used, they seem to be the best.

AVG, ad-aware and spybot, all are free and is effective. Add any firewall and they should block most attacks. But of course nothing can save your computer from stupidity.
