Holy shit this is addictive! But man, after a couple hours of staring at the TV and then looking away everything seems to warp as if I had been staring at one of those illusions.
I totally rock out to Carry On Wayward Son

What level you play on?
I think GH 2's song slection is better than GH3. The Trooper, Jordan, Six among some of my faves.

I totally rock out on easy. I tried medium but dangit my I don't have to coordination to have my pinky hold the blue fret and it just gets all confusing for me when I try to get back to green and hit red... I get too pissed off.
Any good songs that unlock?

Good songs to unlock - (imo) Six, The Light That Blinds and Jordan are the 3 best.
Guitar Hero isn't easy. I can play a few of the songs on actual guitar, but struggle with them in the game. Which I think has to do with that I've played the actual guitar longer and am more comfortable.

GH2 is kickass, and I can't wait for GH3 when I get home. I guess that's why simming hasn't been daily? Just kidding, I COMPLETELY understand. I don't look forward to that when I get home.

I just nailed 100% Who Was In My Room Last Night - Butthole Surfers. It was on easy but man it feels good.
... .. .. .. .. waits for Cal/Norm/Jesse/Eric to reply with some sort of innuendo.

Sometimes they write themselves...
GH3 is fun, only advantage I'd give it to over GH2 is the ability to play people online, which is fun.

And since I don't have XBOX live than GH2 > GH3 ?

And since I don't have XBOX live than GH2 > GH3 ? I'm a bigger fan of GH2's playlist. But if you play with a buddy or on xbox live, GH3 might have an edge with the new features.

I wanted to start playing Guitar Hero, but then South Park ripped it a new one, and I can't see the game anywhere without laughing at it.

I did not know what all the hubub was about this guitar hero thing, But after having my nephew get Guitar Hero for his PS2 he made me give it a try.
Now i know what you guys mean by being addicted. I had my nephew stay over Saturday & Sunday and made him bring his set up with him. After playing all day Saturday i went out and got the combo pack of Guitar Hero 1 & 2 and my own AXE. Have not stopped playing it since the weekend.
Now my daughter wanted to play against me so i had to go out and get a 2nd guitar. Was not much selection left for the PS2 and i ended up picking up a "The Simpsons" Limited Edition Otto AXE Flying Vee. I actually play better on that one than the basic wireless one my Nephew & Daughter now have.
Any tricks you guys have to give to help get better ?
And oh yeah, went and got Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock last night also.
Are the songs the same bewteen the PS2/3 and XBox 360 ?

#1 Tip - When you move from Medium to Hard keep your index finger on the RED fret. It is much much easier to reach the GREEN fret with your index finger than to try to reach the ORANGE fret with your pinkie.
Buy Rockband next. Even if you just buy the game itself. If you have a 360 you can use the wireless headset it comes with to sing (though I don't like to sing). You can use the same guitar though there are other features if you buy the official Rockband guitar. Rockband was done by the makers of GH2 but not GH3. You will notice a far better song selection.

Rock Band is the shit. And you have to buy the whole thing, the drums are what make it unique. Also, singing through the head set sucks compared to the Mic. The only thing I don't like about the singing (besides my own voice) is the delay that causes the feedback.
Rock Band has a lot more downloadable songs on live than GTH. I have downloaded the Oasis pack (Live Forever, Dont Look Back in anger, Wonderwall), The Kill by 30 seconds to Mars, Interstate Love Song by STP, and Joker and the Thief by Wolfmother.
You can really do 4 careers with Rock Band with the Guitar, Singing, Bass, and Drums

Just picked up the Rock Band kit. I really suck at the drums, though i am probably better at air drumming.
Too bad i have the PS2 as i don't think i can download and play any new songs.

one of my friends has GH3, we were playing online (i suck though)... so i was challenged by one guy and i put my difficulty on easy... i guess he felt confident he would win so he put his difficulty on expert.... i made him pay, i put on through the fire and the flames...
