The lack of a signature on a contract means the player was not "signed." An agreement was reached yes but Nylander was not under contract IMO. The lawyers stand to make some dough on this one I think.

The player's signature is likely not needed depending on the agency relationship between Nylander and his agent. The agent can bind the player, however if acting outside his authority, the player can sue the agent.

Sounds to me like Edm may gripe and groan, fact of matter was the contract was not signed. Nylander- Ovechkin; Semin-Backstrom...not bad Washington. Should be much improved if they can get another good year out of Kolzig... jh
