I have two on the plate that I will likely go see in the theatre - which I rarely do as I hate crowds and annoying people with buckets of popcorn, loud whisperers, and people kicking my seat. But, I absolutely am stoked to go see '300'300 Trailer: images.apple.com/movies/wb/300/300-tlr2_h.640.movAnyone else?

Haven't decided on 300 yet, I think I will wait till I hear a few reviews, although I like a lot of what Frank Miller does. The Number 23 with Jim Carrey looks like it could be a good thriller, but again it is something I will wait till I hear a few reviews on. Probably the next movie I'm really interested in is Grindhouse, it is one movie that is actually split into two smaller ones with Tarantino filming "Death Proof" and Robert Rodriguez filming "Planet Terror". I think both are great directors and it looks like a cross between Sin City and Kill Bill. movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809264218/trailerOn the other side of the coin Ghost Rider looks horrible I hate even watching the previews!

You didn't like Transformers? I realize it's not oscar worthy but I thought for a turn your brain off action movie it was really good, looked amazing on HD!

Some times you can tell how you will react to a movie before you even see it. As well, from what I know I tend to agree more on movies with Ken then Eric so I might catch this on TV one day 5 years from now.

How dare you not respect my opinion! I've seen more action movies than Ken, so I'd have a better understanding of what's good. (Inside Joke)
But seriously, the only way to find out is to watch it for yourself. And those of you who didn't see it in the theater's missed 2 great trailers for movies that I'll put in this thread:
Cloverfield I am Legend
BTW, Transformers is the only movie I've ever seen in the theaters twice. On the same day.

Personally, I really enjoyed Transformers. It had quite a bit of action and the storyline was alright.
I would recommened it to anyone who likes action and doesn't care much for story. Normally, I like to watch for the story but Transformers was an exception. It was actually pretty funny too.

It was cheesy! Chalk full of cheese. I like action sure. I don't like overly complex and intricate CGI action to the point where you cannot tell what the fuck the two transformers are doing when they fight because it;s just a fucking blur of CGI. I thought each "transformation" was overly complex. None of the transformers other than Bumblebee were given much screen time. You dont even SEE Optimus Prime until the 60 minute mark and it's typical Michael Bay action tripe. You can see elements of his other previous movies. Flare on roof - The Rock Meteors falling from space - Armageddon (there's even a cheesy armageddon reference in the movie) Panning in a circle between both parties of shooters - Bad Boys II Cheesy slo-mo walking and panning facial closeups as the actor stares into the distance with the either patriotic music or heartbreaking "we just might lose the battle" music playing in the background. - Pearl Harbour - The Island Oh and did I mention it has the CSI-Miami golden feel to it? The only thing Spielberg likely contributed was the utterly pointless father/son dynamic with both his paternal father and the transformers being his father. "You're a soldier now!" Hot blonde Rachel Taylor is a computer geek capable of cracking codes and such that not even the best government tech can do. It's about as believable as casting Denise Richards as a rocket scientist in that James Bond flick. Rachel Taylor and Megan Fox who is even hotter knows more about cars than Andretti and Unser: PLEASE!

Oh and the dialogue was pretty bad too:
Megatron: Humans don't deserve to live! Optimus Prime: They deserve to choose for themselves! Megatron: Then you will die with them! JOIN THEM IN EXTINCTION!
Starscream: I live to serve you, Lord Megatron. Megatron: Where is the cube? Starscream: The humans have taken it. Megatron: You've failed me yet again, Starscream. Get them!
Frenzy: All Spark located. Starscream: This is Starscream: All Decepticons, mobilize. Barricade: Barricade en-route. Devastator: Devastator reporting... Bonecrusher: Bonecrusher rolling... Blackout: Blackout incoming... All hail Megatron!
And that;s about all you get. Cameo appearances by the coolest fucking toys. Barracade rocks...
