I rented the first two episodes last night, and only got through one before I was too tired to continue. But I might add I was suprised to see the full frontal nudity and sex. I was not offened, as that would be impossible, but I was surprised nonetheless to see it. Even more ackward with the son walking into the room when his hot mother is exiting the bath. This begs the question, what items did Roman women before the birth of Jesus use to shave all their body hair off and to exquisitly coiff their pubic regions to look so... appealing? I mean it's one thing to get a fleating glimpse of some full frontal but the sustained camera angle showing a well trimmed hedge was borderline hilarious!... Again, not offended, and think the violence of movies should be of more concerned than naked women... Small to appease the sensibilities of the BRHL crew: Polly Walker Kelly Condon I mean, shit, if you remember the 1994 flick "Exit to Eden" with Dan Ackroyd and *shudder* Roise O'Donnell there was a scene with Dana Delany that showed more fur than the women in Rome, and this movie was set in present day 1994!!!

I am so offended by these pictures. I cannot believe you did this. Just for that you should trade me Ovechkin to make ammends.
Nudity makes baby Jesus cry.

Nudity aside. I just finished watching all 12 episodes and I have to say I really enjoyed the series. Not as much as Band of Brothers but I was still engaged in the story line - even though I knew in the end... that a certain someone was going to die.
And watching Tommy from Trainspotting play one of the lead roles was fun.
I hear they are making a Season 2 of Rome out in January on HBO. Looking forward to renting it when it comes out on DVD.
