You can clearly see that I am not a fan of basketball whatsoever. I think it's the Canadian blood in me. The pro game is a joke tarnished by egos, criminals, and that whole hip hop culture. Steve Nash is one of the lone bright spots in the game and I hope he wins the MVP for the 3rd time in a row. The NCAA, well, why waste 2 hours watching the game when you just need to tune in with 1 minute left in the 4th quarter. Last basket wins. ZZZZZzzzzz.

hip hop Culture is one of the reasons I think Anson Carter is an idiot. during the lock-out Maxim had an article on the NHL and AC was intheir saying that the NHL is missing the boat and needs to "appeal to more youth" (even though more it appears youth thankfully listen to rock than hip-hop once again). Hockey has more of a rock culture than a hip-hop one, it would do more to turn fans off than attract new ones. Hockey is just not gonna take off in Compton AC, aiiight my nizbitch.
I think AC should just quit hockey and focus on his hip-hop career if he wansta be a G. He is just a wanksta who I have never seen throw-em.
sorry, total rant there spurred by Kens comments on the hip hop culture of the NBA.

To add, having more blacks in the nhl would be great, but I want to continue appealing to the Iginla's and Laraques, and not Kobe Bryants and Terrel Owens. That is what I think a hip-hop culture would attract. Even though Baseball sucks, I prefer the culture around hockey and baseball to football and basketball.

I thought Cal was going to blast me for my comments. They are, I admit, somewhat stereotypical as both Basketball and Football are sports with a predominate black contigent.
It's just the attitude of some of the star players in basketball just really put me off: Iverson's "practice" rant, Bryant's attitude, Sprewell's attack on his own coach. Wasn't it just recently that the sport mandated their atheletes to appear in proper attire at games? And then there is football where you have the all american white trash quarterback along with the attitude / ego dripping black wide receives. Again, huge stereotype but it's just an image that seems to stick. Michael Vick aside, it seems like most star quarterbacks in the NFL are white while most star wide receivers are black. Moreover, I think the sheer amount of money some of these guys in the NFL are getting - due to the popularity and revenue of the league - has really taken it's toll on the game itself. Who needs a superbowl when you get $20M a season just to less than 20 games not to mention the $100M endorsement deals. Why risk a career ending injury in the playoffs when the pay cheque is made during the season? The same can be said for any sport, I know. The money and the bling just don't seem so obvious in hockey - Kovulchuk aside.

Ken, why would you be proud of that youtube video. Makes Odjick look like a dick, going crazy on non-enforcers. If Twist had been on the ice, garantee Odjick wouldnt of been acting like that and instead would have been crying for his mommy.
