Currently slated to be removed at the end of this season:
Anaheim: Player - Country for current year 05-06 Alexei Morozov - Europe (Russia) Vaclav Nedorost - Europe (Czech) Stanislav Neckar - Europe (Sweden) Rickard Wallin - Europe (Sweden) Nikita Alexeev - Europe (Russia) Tony Salmelainen - Europe (Finland) Ivan Novoseltsev - Europe (Russia) Michal Grosek - Europe (Switzerland) Pascal Trepanier - Europe (Switzerland) Derrick Walser - Europe (Germany)
Teemu Laine - Europe (Finland) Why was he even created. I know he's a prospect, but after 5 years of being drafted and still not in the AHL/NHL you begin to wonder.

We allowed prospects to be created that aren't in North America, and as long as he hasn't played a game in North America he wasn't to be removed.

I am assuming that I maintain their right, correct?

Just like any other retiree/euro, you'd maintain your own player rights.
However, if said player is to become a free agent, you would have to qualify said player to maintain their rights (otherwise they'd be added to the UFA Euro/Retiree List)

Bates Battaglia will not be removed as he is still with an NHL affiliated league (albeit not an NHL affiliated team) - since he is currently playing in the ECHL.

Did Pasi Nurminen actually make it official? I know it was highly speculated, but I don't recall ever seeing anything that actually said he wasn't going to attempt to come back.
(Not that it would make any different if he plays zero North American games this year)

Paul Maurice has Battaglia with him in Toronto. He came onboard late. Looking to make a return to the bigs. stats.theahl.com/stats/player.php?id=431

Thanks for the corrections. Lehoux was claimed the day or two after i posted. Battglia was only listed as an AHL Tryout contract on TSN.
Does anyone know who Jason Crain is? Ive tried TSN and Hockey's Future and he is not listed on either.
